Movie: Thor The Dark World

After last year's blockbuster movie, Avenger, All S.H.I.E.L.D fans were fed with IRON MAN 3 at early of this year and then now, we are drenched with the ever so god-like THOR. Is it any good? Well I would say it live up to my expectation. With Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman leading the movie, everything in the movie works out like wonders. The humor of the movie (Dr Erik and the appearance of Captain America) and the flow of the story (though it got a bit boring at the mid of somewhere) is all the plus factor of the movie. Loki is the villain again and I was silly enough to thought that he turn into a HERO this time but I was so so wrong... NO SPOILERs.. I know I know. Just watch it and you will know what I mean. This movie good for the standard of just any Hollywood superhero movies. So, don't miss it. Catch it at the nearest cinema you can find.

Now that the hype of THOR is satisfied, we just gotta sit back and wait for the next installment of Captain America: The Winter Soldier with Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson. That will happen next year. My next to watch movie on the list would nevertheless be Hunger Game: The Catching Fire. Time for me to drool over Liam Hemsworth now. Yea yea.. I purposely make it Chris Hemsworth then Liam Hemsworth.. Teehee...

Movie: Tiny Times 1.0 & 2.0 小时代

"to feature the movie with pretty people, pretty clothes, pretty scenery and most important of all, awesome soundtrack but the storyline and plot is really...."

Adapted from the infamous novel written by Guo JingMing, this movie and its sequel receives high attention from the media as well as spectators. I am really not interested in writing out the synopsis of the movie cause I think it is simply "GossipGirl"-ish where all the author have to do in order to receive attention is by polishing his world and the people around him with wealth and overflowing designers brands. Mind you, I enjoy watching Gossip Girl very badly.

Well well, I might be too shallow by saying all the above but the movie itself definitely finds its way into the the heart of the audience without much depth. All it does is to feature the movie with pretty people, pretty clothes, pretty scenery and most important of all, awesome soundtrack but the storyline and plot is really really weak. Well, if you are a fan of watching pretty thingssss, don't miss out this movie but if you are trying to get yourself into some deep thoughts while watching movies, just give this movie a skip. You would not regret it. =)

Seems like the third movie is coming out real soon. Will I still watch it? Answer is YES. The unrealistic material of the movie makes me falls into its fantasy without much effort. Therefore, I am still gonna watch the third one with the hope of not waking up from the fantasy in life.

PS: There is also the TV drama version of the novel. I have not watched it but might give it a try since the cast is also as ideal as the movie.

Movie: Hear Me 听说

"other than having the element of love story, the line between the sisters are also fun to watch..."

Ever imagine someday when your world is no longer audible?

The moment when you can no longer hear any sound, any voice or worst of all, music - the best thing that ever exist in this world.

听说 focuses on the story of the a pair of sisters, YangYang, 秧秧 (Ivy Chen 陳意涵) and XiaoMing, 小朋 (Michelle Chen 陳妍希) who has been living of by themselves. XiaoMing is very active in swimming and has the dream of participating in Deaflympics. YangYang is always helping out her sister by supporting her by the pool every time when she is practicing. Like just almost any typical love story, Tian Kuo, 天闊 (Eddie Peng 彭于晏) watches over the two sisters and fall in love indefinitely with YangYang who is always bright and happy. Well, I gotta admit that the twist of the story (almost at the end of the movie) is really heart-warming and adorable. I was fooled along with TianKuo with the truth that YangYang is actually not deaf.

Overall, the story of this movie is really simple with a slight surprising twist. It is definitely watchable with pretty cast and satisfying acting. This movie stars three of the most promising young actors of Taiwan movie industry ( 陳意涵,  彭于晏, 陳妍希) as well as a few veteran actors such as 林美秀 as supporting role. Not to forget, other than having the element of love story, the line between the sisters are also fun to watch. Both Michelle and Ivy did an awesome job. This movie is the first one for Michelle Chen way before the hit movie "You are the apple of my Eyes 那些年，我們一起追的女孩". Meanwhile, Ivy Chen actually won the Best Female Actress in the 12th Taipei Film Festival Award with this role.

Misc: After Such a Long Break...

It's been really long since this blog was last updated. Finals came and went away, it was then a brand new year now. Yep yep... It is 2013. We went through the doomsday safe and sound! XD

Time passes really fast. I am now in my third year, another year to go then I ll be in my final years and then graduate and then it is a brand new world. Bla bla bla..*the babbling continues*
Anyway, I hope this blog will stay updated. Sorry for being absent for so long. We will definitely hope to discover more about the world and keeps our eyes open to learn and learn and learn.
